We are currently involved in the following projects:
- AHAVAT TORAH GOING GREEN: Implementing eco-friendly practices.
- AMERICAN JEWISH WORLD SERVICE: Raising awareness about global hunger and distributing food locally to those in need.
- BEYOND COAL CAMPAIGN: Informing the community about the importance of the Beyond Coal Campaign to replace coal with renewable, non-polluting energy sources in Los Angeles.
- BLOOD DRIVES: Encouraging Ahavat Torah members to periodically participate in blood drives.
- JEWISH WORLD WATCH: Addressing the strife in Darfur, Congo, Sudan, and Ethiopia. Ahavat Torah members routinely participate in the annual JWW Walk.
- SOVA COMMUNITY FOOD & RESOURCE PROGRAM: Supporting SOVA's endeavors to provide food to those in need. Ahavat Torah's participation started with establishing a cooking oil shelf, named in the memory of Gene and Kimball Marsh, an indefatigable mother-son team. In today's world, food donations and financial contributions are very necessary.
- SPY (Safe Place for Youth): Supporting homeless teens and young adults in Venice, many of whom have aged out of the foster care system, with clothing.
- VERY SPECIAL ARTS FESTIVAL: Volunteering for this annual festival, Ahavat Torah members support this event which celebrates the performing and visual arts of students with disabilities in LAUSD and the 81 Los Angeles County School Districts. The Very Special Arts Festival was co-founded 32 years ago by Ahavat Torah member Jean Katz.
